Steam Trap Rebates and Incentives

To better service our clients, American Plant Maintenance, Inc. has established relationships with utility companies to offer client rebates and incentives for Steam Trap Surveys and Installations.  Your utility provider will evaluate your energy consumption and determine if you qualify for their program. APM will prequalify you before we are on site. We will work with your provider to save you money for improving the energy efficiency of your facility. American Plant Maintenance, Inc. is a National Grid preferred vendor for Steam Trap surveys and installations.

While steam systems are one of the most energy intensive processes in commercial buildings, much of this energy consumption is due to the lack of proper maintenance of the steam traps in the system. According to the Department of Energy, steam traps not properly maintained for three to five years “can result in failure rates of 15 to 30 percent.” *This failure allows steam to escape into the condensate return system, causing losses of up to 20% of the steam generated, resulting in significant monetary losses.

Utility providers designed incentive programs to help customers reduce their energy use and improve the reliability of their steam systems. APM will evaluate your system and identify failed or leaking steam traps as well as other potential low cost O&M improvements.

Steam Incentives by state

Utility companies offer financial incentives to help share the cost of the survey and steam system upgrades. The following summaries are meant to provide a customer with general information regarding utility rebate programs and not to be construed as a binding offer. Actual rebates available to a customer are determined by the utility.
